The Hollywood of Rome

For my Roma Cinema Mundi class, aka the easiest class ever, today we visited Cinecitta, the longest-running and largest film studio in all of Europe. Let me start off by saying, IT. IS. HUGE! The walking alone is such a workout (and that's coming from someone who walks 200+ steps each time I go to campus), but it was extremely scenic and beautiful.

The exhibition, Shooting in Cinecitta, was created for visitors to explore the making of some of the most prominent productions and their contribution to the history of cinema and Cinecitta. Going through countless images, interviews, and videos all from famous movie starts, like Audrey Hepburn in her prime famous, we were able to delve into the history of great films and the stories it carried with. It was a breezy, but fun 2 hours there even though my left foot is killing me. Seeing the set for Gladiator or Gladiator 2, whichever one the tour guide said, was eye opening, but also very impressive. The set and the environment elevated the set design and the kind of feeling one should feel when you're physically there, and I sure did felt it.
